Kentwood Public Schools Success Story

Kentwood Public Schools manages a wide network of buildings, including elementary, middle, and high schools. When Paige Spencer, Facilities Manager at Kentwood Public Schools, stepped into her role, the district had just rolled out FMX , and she took the lead in getting everyone up to speed with it. Since then, it’s become a go-to communication tool for the facilities team, educators, and administrators.

Recently, her team added all their Child Nutrition Services equipment into FMX, which has made it much easier to track issues, manage warranties, and keep tabs on what equipment is where. It’s all in one place now, which means team members can solve problems faster and collaborate more easily—even if they’re in different locations.

Paige says having electricians, plumbers, and HVAC techs all on the same platform has been a game changer. They can leave notes, revisit past work orders, and learn from each other’s experience, which has really boosted their efficiency. For her, the biggest win is better communication. She always knows what her team is working on and can easily loop in outside contractors when needed. Overall, FMX has made her job a whole lot easier.
