Voices of FMX: Ronnie Ross on safer spaces, smarter maintenance, and staying on track
At FMX, we know the best stories about facilities management come directly from our users. That’s why we created Voices of FMX, where facility leaders share their challenges, wins, and strategies.
This month, we’re highlighting Ronnie Ross, Facility Property Manager at Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. Ronnie shares how his team keeps public spaces safe and welcoming, stays ahead on maintenance, and uses FMX to stay organized and efficient.

Use asset tracking to reveal hidden costs
At the University of Nebraska, tagging and tracking everything, from critical equipment to mini-fridges, gave leaders a clear picture of the budget. This visibility helped optimize spending and make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Regularly reviewing asset and labor reports in FMX can uncover cost-saving opportunities you didn’t even know existed. Read the rest of the University of Nebraska’s story.
Digitize your inspection process
San Jacinto Unified School District eliminated a month of manual work from their California FIT inspections with FMX. What once required stacks of paper, hours of data entry, and follow-up calls now flows more easily.
If you’re still managing inspections manually, moving them into FMX can save weeks of time and ensure no repair slips through the cracks. Hear how else San Jacinto is using FMX.

Requisitions
Technicians can now request parts and materials directly from a work order, speeding up approvals and cutting downtime. This new feature allows them to request materials they need directly from a work order, helping them secure approvals and get back to work quickly.
For example: A technician is assigned to repair a broken HVAC unit and realizes a specific part is needed. They no longer need to call or email. With requisitions, they submit directly from the work order. The manager gets notified instantly, approves it, and the part is on its way with no extra steps and no wasted time.
FMX Mobile App improvements
- Smarter Nearby filter to find the closest work orders
- Attach photos directly to equipment records
- Faster photo uploads with no cropping required
- More reliable login process
